Why Does This Blog Exist?

Why did I want to start this website and blog? Because I want to get into the habit of writing and expressing my thoughts and opinions with the world, and also to connect with like-minded folks, as well as those with differing perspectives. I want to build a website where people come to read, gain insights on various topics, and start conversations on a global scale.

How Am I Going to Do This?

I bought the website, and now I need to plan and execute my dream of making this one of the go-to websites for quick reads.

Goals of This Blog

There are many goals with this. I thought about it because I often look for something to read that helps me understand various topics and articles, but I've never been able to find a website that caters to my need for quick, short reads.

Everything seems to be focused on one niche, but I always wanted a change in the rhythm of information because, frankly, I get bored easily. The best part about this website is that I can find all the interesting things I want to read because I am the one making these articles.

Another goal is to make this one of my main gigs. It’s been very difficult for me to find another passion in life besides being in aviation. After many years of wanting to start something in a different field, I finally committed to this journey of the written word.

Furthermore, another goal (so far) is that I want to write a book one day! It will be fiction. Maybe I'll develop a game too! I know, exciting stuff. Even though I have no idea how to start, this blog is another way for me to document my journey of achieving these goals.

Who Am I?

The big question. Why does it matter who I am? Well, for one thing, it assures readers that this is a person writing these posts and also helps keep me accountable for the journey I am embarking upon. My background is in the aviation industry, where I work as a pilot, which I LOVE. I cannot stop talking about aviation. I’ve recently started a role in the training department with my current employer. This is another passion of mine—teaching. I might not be the best, but I like to think of it as a muscle that I have to train to get better at. This blog is also a way for me to express my interests and share my knowledge. Make NO MISTAKE… I am no expert. I am an amateur!

I am currently reading Show Your Work! by Austin Kleon, which talks about how we don’t have to be perfect and we don’t have to be experts. We just have to start sharing our work, especially the behind-the-scenes, and then the mundane parts of day-to-day life will become interesting (that’s my addition).

What’s Next?

So, in the coming days, weeks, months, and years, I am embarking on a self-learning journey—starting with learning to use Wix, SEO, writing, expressing opinions, dealing with conflict, finding other passions, and more.
